If you want to create your own myspace 2.0 layout then this is the blog post you’ve been waiting for. Myspace 2.0 Layouts are the newest trend in myspace land and now you can easily create your own myspace layout 2.0 style. First thing to look for is the “Design My Layout” link which is right there on the homepage at Backgroundstation.com – your one stop shop to make a layout including 1.0 and 2.0 myspace layouts!

Now you are on the myspace background generator page. If you thought you needed to know how to make your own 2.0 myspace layout – don’t worry this thing automatically handles all the code for you!

So basically at this point, you are now just moments away from figuring out how to create your own myspace 2.0 layout! At the top you will notice two options. These tabs simply say “Myspace 1.0″ and “Myspace 2.0″, now click the 2.0 tab as shown below….

The next thing you will see after you click the Myspace 2.0 Layouts tab is this message window (as shown below), which is basically just telling you the following: MySpace Profile 2.0 – This is a preview of MySpace’s new Profile and in order to use this layout, you need to switch to Profile 2.0 on MySpace. You can do that by going to MySpace and click the link on your Edit Profile page or in the profile menu drop down ‘Customize Profile’.

IMP NOTE: If you have just recent signed up to Myspace.com, you are already automatically given a 2.0 Myspace Layout and cannot easily convert back to 1.0 layouts!

Got that? Good! Now simply click “close” to get this message out of your face. Now you are ready to use the generator just like you did with a Myspace 1.0 Layout by choosing a “theme” and “background image”. Don’t forget the myspace background generator at Background Station also lets you change the size of any image you choose. This is important because some images do look crappy too big! You can also tweak many other things in the “options” tab. Thats it then, have fun, now go create your OWN Myspace 2.o Layouts !!!

1. First thing to do is go here: Backgroundstation.com

2. Next click on “Design My Layout” (see below)

3. You are now taken to the “layout editor” page which gives you four tabs that you can click to open…

4. After that tab opens you will see the “Add Your Own” button click it. You can then search your computer for the file you wanna upload. (after you upload – don’t forget to select the pixel size that looks best!)

5. Next pick a “theme”

6. Click tab #3 for even more options, and then tab #4 to get your code!

Now you know how to upload your own image to create your own Myspace background. This whole thing is done by using a Myspace Background Generator which has an “upload” option. It’s that easy!!!

Ready? Ok now go create your own layout

Lets get started…

Step 1:

Go to Backgroundstation.com by clicking the ^ above link – or just type it in your browser…

Step 2:

Find the “tag search” and type in Lil Wayne (see below)

Enter "Lil Wayne" and click "tag search"...

Step 3:

After you do this you will be taken to a page with the most recent layouts using the myspace background generator. Now simply locate an image that you like and click it.

Step 4:

This is where you will begin to create your own myspace layout how you like it… you are now able to view it full size and begin to “tweak” it using the generator on the left side.

(Note: If you DON’T like the image just hit the “back button” in your browser )

Your image will now appear on the Myspace Background Editor page...

Step 5:

Ok you’ve gone through the options, picked a theme and are ready to go. Now you go to OPTION 4 in the Editor called ‘Myspace Info” where you will click to get your code… As shown below:

This is how you get the actual code...

You are almost there!!!! Now just “copy” your code and paste it into the “ABOUT ME” section of your profile…

All you need to do to help create your own myspace layout is select a theme that you like, then use the generator to go and search the web for ANY image you want using Flickr, Yahoo, or Google search… its that easy! (for more info on this step, see the below posts)

So there is an easy way to do this, just go to this: myspace backgrounds gallery and just browse until you see a background that you like – famous stars and straps layouts, volcom layouts, etc. etc. whatever ticles your fancey….. Then just click the background image and you will automatically be taken to the MySpace Background Generator page. Ah – you see where I’m going with this now? From here you can:

1. 1. Change Up the Theme
2. 2. Lower the opacity of the modules
3. 3. Flip modules around
4. 4. Click “submit” and get code… its that easy!

This is what the home page will look like… So the first thing you need to do is look towards the bottom left of the site:

The Tag Cloud area looks like this and is under the header “Popular Right Now!” You will notice there are several keywords… Any of these can be clicked to Create Your Own Layout using an image from those terms. The cool thing about this is you can look and see what other users have made and what terms are “hot” at the moment. The hottest terms to Make Your Own Layout are the BIGGEST in size. Notice below the terms “Fox Racing”, “Graffiti”, “Volcom” and “Monster Energy” are the biggest.

Ok so now you have seen how the Tagcloud works. Lets say you dont see anything that interests you to Create Your Own Myspace Layout in there. Well this is when you go ahead and click the link at the bottom of the Tagcloud that says “Go to the layout editor”, here you have the tools to choose and MySpace Background you want!!! You can pretty much do everything on this site and choose and background image you want. Below I will post some step-by-step screen shots of how to use the Myspace Background Generator on the site….

First thing you wanna do after you arrive at the site is look for this button at the top:

You will then be taken to the Myspace Background Generators page and this is where you will create your own MySpace layout. You will notice there is already a MySpace template in the background, on the left side you will see the following options:

Click STEP 1 “Theme” and this is where you select the look of the layout, they are over two pages of themes to choose from, my favorite is “Black Dust” see below:

Next is STEP 2 where you will choose your “Background Image”. This is really cool because you can search the web for ANY image you want using either Google, Flickr, or Yahoo…

After you have uploaded your image then you pretty much can start to trick out the layout if you wanna make it different – so STEP 3 is pretty much all about that. Personally I leave mine the way it is, but to each his own! See below:

STEP 4 is where you basically click to get your code. This is nice because it takes you to a page where you can either copy and paste the code into your profile yourself OR auto-post it by entering your details and it will update your profile in one click… it’s that easy now you know how to create your own layouts!
